How to solve "No Signal" problem after BMW NBT Evo Retrofit?

After retrofit NBTEvo, you hear sound but get "No Signal" error on the screen? This issue usually happens because you didn't manually code FDL after submitting a new CAFD file. If your problem is not solved after coding below, you either made a mistake during installation or there is a problem with your display cable.

Requirements:

  • Esys / BMWAiCoder 4.6 / BimmerCode (Whichever)
  • BMW Enet Cable or ICOM (If you are going to code with BimmerCode, the appropriate obd adapter)
  • Battery Booster (It's okay if it doesn't, but it'd be nice if it did. :)
Coding:

HU_NBT2 --> Edit FDL:

  • Find "DISPLAY_VARIANTE" --> New Value: “breites_display
  • Find "DISPLAY_SIZE_RESOLUTION" --> New Value: "8.8" (If the screen size is 10.25, choose 10.25)
  • Find "ID_DISPLAY_RES" --> New Value: "1280_480"

After making these changes, write the codes. If you still get the "No Signal" error, change the following codes:

HU_NBT2 --> Edit FDL:

  • Find: "CID_APIX_MODE" --> New Value: "apix2"
  • Find: "CID_COLOR_DEPTH" --> New Value: "24"
  • Find: "CID_COM_MODE" --> New Value: "mii"
  • Find: "CID_RESOLUTION" --> New. Value: "1280 x 480"

If that did not solve your problem, you will need to replace the display cable or check all other cables.
